I can't speak to the brands since I'm not familiar with them. Here is where I have been looking so far: I don't want to have to run out someplace and buy something extra that should have been there in the first place. I basically want to get a box(s) open them up put it together and be ready to go. When I look online there are setups that look exactly alike except there are extra hoses in one but not another. So for the time being and I going with the assumption I need a pump. But it is used and it is freezing cold here and I haven't had the will power to try and start it. Do I need a 2" or would a 1.5" suffice? I have a 2" pump already that was given to me too. I was looking at a 2" Suction Dredge / Highbanker Combo with or without an engine. If we happen to get some extra gold great, if we are able to consume more beer great. This is nothing other than a fun time for me and a few friends to get together a couple of times a year. This is mostly a smooth bottom with lots of dimples that are usually full of sand and gravel. The areas I go there is a lot of gravel bars and the creek bedrock is anywhere from a couple of inches underwater to a few spots where it can get at the most maybe 5-6' deep. In Ohio it is just wherever I end up with someone, but mostly central Ohio around Columbus. I own about a mile of frontage on Sugar Creek in Indiana and there are multiple smaller creeks on the same land that I like to sluice in. I am just tired of filling buckets and running through a couple at a time and ready to ramp it up. I have been sluicing for a couple of years in central Indiana and Ohio so it is mostly fine gold. I have about $1000 including shipping that I can spend.
